  1. Not sure I am understanding Kevin’s sentences here:
“The all-boys charter school opened in August of 2011. The school had their fair share of discipline incidents as well as higher populations of African-Americans, low-income, and students with disabilities.” – Kevin, what does this mean??
Anyway, this is sad. My nephew went to this school. Say what you want about why Pencader closed a couple years ago. In my opinion, they never got out of the start gate because they didn’t know how to advertise. My guess is Prestige didn’t either. Plain and simple. Not enough people even knew about this option, just like Pencader.

Good point about advertising. As I’ve often opined, not many folks would buy the Cheerios absent the yellow box.

Study the PR work of the flamed out charters that DID draw a lot of attention (and constituents) for short (or longer) periods of time. Plot that against the creators’ motivations, skillsets, and the validity of the underlying raison d’être.

PS to mom: Angos is simply saying that the school failure is your fault and mine, not the school’s, not the founders’, because the parents or home life of the kids is our fault. Yawn. The usual.
