Just about everyone can cherry-pick something they like — or don’t — in this one. Isn’t that the point?

Just remember, Bernie wants to Bern everyone and make college free free free. Of course nothing is free.

    Pubie,
Charter schools are “free” private schools, exclusionary and lacking minimal diversity for the most part.

Setting aside your prejudiced and uninformed invective, tell us how you can square that sophomoric salutation with something such as Christina district’s social media policy section 2d? You being a “representative” and all.

    • Yet again JK, you display such a biased and counter-intuitive understanding of the realities of our district that you provide the very proof for why we need voter qualification tests. Your inaccurate comments allow all to see just how inappropriate you are.
Maybe you should stop bashing your constituents who seek out other options in charter schools rather than complain they are taking resources away from those who think only certain students “deserve” public money. ALL are equal but some are more equal than others, eh? You are pathetically out of touch with what your constituents want and what our educational system needs. You should go to local charter schools with News Journal staff in tow and make sure to personally tell all the children that their parents and their school are bastions of selfishness run a muck. Tell the staff they are the reason our TPS’s aren’t doing so well and tell them you are working as hard as possible to take away parents ability to choose what is best for their children.
By the way, when will you be making your statement that you will be returning all received taxpayer money and liquidate your assets if CSD fails to produce their stated goals of the referendum. Come on John, put your money on the line. You vouched for it, promoted and congratulated everyone for it. Time to be the pinnacle of accountability. No?

  3. So, she was for it before she was against it? This woman wouldn’t know the truth if it smacked across her face.
My area has a wonderful charter school with a random lottery. Unless they somehow weigh the cards differently, there is no way that they can cherry pick students in a public open lottery drawing. Another great thing about charters – if you don’t like it, you can leave. I think that some of the fortunate students who attend the local charter school are in the district of the above ‘representative’. Why don’t you try to represent them for a change?
