Should school board members be required to step-down after violating oath of office ?

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States of America, the Constitution of the State of Delaware, and the laws of Delaware governing public education, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of school board member according to the best of my ability; and I do further solemnly swear (or affirm) that I have not directly or indirectly paid, offered or promised to pay, contributed, or offered to or promised to contribute, any money or other valuable thing as consideration or reward for the giving or withholding a vote at the election at which I was elected to said office, so help me God (or I so affirm).”

Laws pertaining to public meetings do fall within the intent if the Delaware school board oath of office. School board members are public elected officials! If more than three Red Clay school board members attend the Brandywhine PTO meeting they all must step-down for violating oath of office.

Folk, a little FYI Brandywine Elementary School history for you! The original Brandywine Elementary School was ordered closed as a result of the federal desegregation order. The Hercules Corporation purchased the building. Struggling Hercules put their building up for sale. On March 10, 1998 Red Clay held a referendum to purchase Brandywine K-5 and renovated it! The voters said NO! 5194 Yes and 7359 NO. On June 02, 1998 Red Clay held another referendum to purchase Brandywine K-5 and renovate it. The voters said NO! 3396 Yes and 5449 NO! Red Clay did the unthinkable! They went ahead and made the purchase by selling their central office located on Washington Street in Wilmington and was able to get special from the state! The board president was proud on how the board got “creative”. The district move their central office in Brandywine’s annex building now kindergarten. That’s when the district leases the white elephant building (with an agenda to buy) and plunged the district into bankruptcy! Then there was the push for Brandywine to expand to grade 8 at the same-time the board said no to expanding Baltz to grade 8. Current capacity issues though no fault of current parents was their own doing.

Why is Brandywine the only k-8 school in Red Clay? Here is the solution, convert Brandywine back to K-5, Return Conrad middle school to a feeder school and keep high school magnet. That way Brandywine would have greater capacity for K-5.

Being white does not mean being right or being first! There is an evil attempt to purge LCA from Cooke feeder-pattern.

Where are the righteous Wilmington so-called civil rights leaders? Stop kissing Jack Markell ass and kick some Red Clay ass! Once again a few  Wilmington moms step-up to the plate where their men are failing!

Rumor has it Red Clay School Board is knowingly going to violate State Law

Rumor has A few Red Clay members are having a private meeting with Brandywine PTA  PTO at Brandywine Elementary School 6:30 p.m. to appease upset parents in regards Cooke Elementary School’s Attendance Zone.

While I admire board member who attend PTA  PTO meetings and engage parents outside board meeting, I am very disappointed to see board member violate state law and their oath of office.

The proposed private meeting is to have three or more board member which creates a quorum which requires the meeting to follow open meeting laws. There is no public notice provided for this meeting.

I am still chasing down details and what the F is going on but one person told me it’s probably a secret because some people don’t what the black community involved.

You know, what impacts one district school impacts all district schools. I find it very hard Red Clay school board members would knowingly violate state law and their oath of office.

Somebody please help straighten out this rumor! I am being told even Merv knows about it!
