A Big Push for Baldrige in Education

A Big Push for Baldrige in Education.

Last month in Missouri, the Governor’s Conference on Baldrige in Education kicked off a large-scale improvement initiative that has the backing of key education groups in the state. With a mission to “facilitate school districts’ deployment of the leadership and management principles that have been developed by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program,” the Missouri Network for Educational Improvement (MNEI) aims to support Missouri school districts’ use of the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence to improve student learning, educators’ satisfaction, and other important results

Friends, it was my (surprising) pleasure to be invited and recognized as the longest standing advocate for Quality Education, having contributed since 1999.

My sincere hope is that Delaware leaders come to be more aware of what has evolved since our attempt, now on pause, in Milford schools.

It’s not too late to take full advantage of the developing resources from the American Society for Quality, the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, and the Carnegie Foundation for Teaching and Learning.

I’m proud to say I’m the Point-of-Contact for these critical components
for DE, NJ, and RI and remain eager to support education leaders.

Today’s “launch” conference call had over 35 representing several states and a represents a significant critical mass going forward.
