Breaking News! Flying Monkeys invade Wilmington News Journal

Pencader sets deadline for state funding decision Written by The News Journal Apr. 19, 2013 5:44 AM

Tuesday could be the deadline for a decision on whether Pencader Business and Finance Charter School closes early, but school officials and the state Department of Education remain at an impasse.

There is no impasse! Pencader Frank fucked up and now wants the state to pay all of Pencader’s debts so that Frank can carry his head high among his business peers. What deadline? Perhaps its the day we’ll see if Frank screws over children!

Frank McIntosh, the school’s president  said in a letter to the school’s parents Thursday that he had given the state until Tuesday to decide whether to give Pencader the $350,000 it says it needs to finish out the school year.

Franks is going to give the state a deadline?? 🙂 There is no way Dover is going to give Pencader additional dime to control. I support taking care of the teachers but no more!

“We are doing everything we can to not close Pencader on April 30th. However, it does remain a possibility, but one that we do not wish to exercise,” McIntosh wrote. “We are nearing a conclusion to all of this negotiating. Please bear with us for a few more days.”

Bullshit! Pencader is doing everything it can to hold students hostage so that they can get more money to pay lawyers first! I wonder where all Frank’s charter school business and buddies are? Hey Chuck can you spare a dime? Hey Metts, can you spare a quarter?  Perhaps we cam hold a Crawlfish Boil at $10K a plate Negotiating? You’re not getting another dime!

McIntosh said the school wouldn’t absolutely close on Tuesday if the state did not cough up the cash.

So it wouldn’t absolutely close??? WTF ? Dipstick you just tilted your bluffing hand!

“I don’t intend to back down, but I’m not committing to closing the school that day either,” he said.

Well that is wonderful Frank! I’ll send over a box of Twinkies !

Education Department officials gave an update on the situation to the state Board of Education, which revoked the school’s charter in February. Those officials said the school probably didn’t have enough money to finish out the year and reiterated that the state had given Pencader a full allocation for this year.

“We continue to talk to Pencader regularly and try to help its leadership figure out how they can fulfill their responsibilities,” a department spokeswoman said in a statement.

The board has no authority to grant that money. The spokeswoman said that decision would require consultation from several state agencies, including the Office of Management and Budget.

Frank you are barking up the wrong tree! Don’t feel bad, once Jack Markell was elected he took me off his contact list! Frank, the state board said YOU GOT YOUR MONEY. Call Alan Levin perhaps he can give you a grant! WSFS go some Markell money last quarter! Fisker got some! I think the guy with the automatic french fry machine is back for a grant! OMG I forget!! Did you every get that IRS990 form straighten out? If you not a legal nonprofit your board and directors  insurance is invalid! Read the fine print!

PENCADER PARENTS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact the governor and ask him for his plan to address this matter?

Ins’t amazing the News Journal hasn’t interviewed any Pencader teachers, students or parents!  It seems Franks is getting all the media coverage for his intimidation to nowhere tour!

Did Delaware DOE lie to the Delaware State Board of Education #netDE #edude @destateboarded @dedeptofed

The Delaware Department of Education told the Delaware State Board of Education that charter school teachers have a “choice” in how they are to be paid! That choice is over 10 months or 12 months! Somehow all of Pencader teachers elected to be paid over 12 months and if Pencader closes April 30th that leaves May, June, July and August pay up in the air! Even if Pencader stays open until June, that leave July and August pay up in the air aka sorry teach no pay for you! So why wasn’t allocations or teachers pay put in a reserve account? What about federal money? Where did that all go?

Folks if Pencader pissed away funding that was meant to be for teachers pay don’t you see grounds for an investigation for possible misappropriation of funds?

Where is the state auditor? Where is an investigation by state legislators? Maybe we should misappropriate legislators’ pay to pay Pencader teachers or perhaps the governors’. Damn Jack has more stock dividends in one quarter then Pencader teachers make combined. How about it Jack Gates Murdoch Markell, a donation to pay the Pencader teachers?

So all you union reps and teachers, tell me the truth! Can a teacher select how they are to be paid? Do you have a choice? Do charter school require through “encouragement” to pick 12 months?

UPDATE !!!! Here it is:

§ 1317. Method of salary payments.

Ten month employees in public and higher education shall have the option of being paid bi-weekly payments during the contract or annual period, provided that such employees shall indicate their preference at the time of signing their contract for the ensuing school year and that the method of salary payment so designated shall not be changed during the period of the aforementioned contract.

Markell’s 5th year Race to The Top exposed

Delaware Governor has put the word out to slow the spending of the Race to The Top grant and “will” ask that money being taken back form Christina will be use elsewhere.

Governor Markell is in the process of asking Arne Duncan to extent Race to The Top a 5th year allowing the state to carry over funding from the 4 year grant. Yea I am fucking crazy! You’ll see!  He’ll play the card much positive changes has been competed but we would like more time to extend those victories!

Governor Markell wants to milk the cash cow as much as he can so that the Race to The Top implosion doesn’t happen on his watch. He is also hoping more federal money will come to plug the holes in efforts he doesn’t have to cut more funding to local public and charter schools.

Folks, Race to The Top is a four-year federal “grant” not a mandate and once the grant runs it’s course “all” the requirements of the grant will be no more. All the positions at the district, school level and DE DOE  funded with Race to The Top “grant” money will be no more! YEA RIGHT! The districts and schools will give up those positions but Markell plans to retain those positions at DE DOE by renaming them. What about Judas? Word has it the job is her’s at least until Markell is out of office and I hope she doesn’t apply for any jobs in Red Clay!
