If HB 300 is passed, when will it get signed? The first WEDNESDAY in NOVEMBER? LOL
The mailers do not contain the “magic words” (“vote for,” “elect”) that would transform them into “express advocacy,” versus (permissible) “issue advocacy?” Are our legislature & exec. branch run by kindergarteners? I don’t mean to demean five-year-olds, but the lack of sophistication in the AG’s advice about this matter is mind boggling.
CSD residents who received the fliers are sufficiently astute to surmise that “vote for” was implied, whatever specific words were employed.
Beau Biden supports anti-bullying programs but not for political agendas…sad…..strings attached ??
How is this different from the Citizens United ruling that the activists on the Supreme Court handed down? Are those who are outraged by Voices 4 Delaware also outraged that the Koch brothers and corporate entities can pump millions of dollars into elections/campaigns at local and national levels with no holds barred? Either you want campaign reform at all levels, or you don’t. However, until Citizens United gets overturned, you can expect to see school board and local elections become increasingly more expensive.
