John Young just said on his blog that the being a white guy has no special advantages while defending his teaming up with union boss Jack Paladori to carry out a political lynching of Val Harris … an accomplished minority woman who started an award winning non-profit for at-risk minority young girls. Shame on them for throwing her under the bus so that they can keep Jack Paladori’s lap poodles on school board!
John Young literally just obliterated several comments challenging his views from an African American supporter of Val Harris. If you go to his site, you see Young’s responses to me, but none of my comments because he deleted them. My comments weren’t profane, addressed NAACP concerns about Christina’s school board, the character assaults on Val Harris, and his coordination with union leader Jack Paladori. I took several screen shots of the exchanges and will widely distribute them this weekend to social justice organizations and the media to protest Young’s censorship. Just so you know, I cited Bebe Coker, of the Delaware Black Heritage Educational Theater Group, who said “The black community needs to wake up and speak up and seek election to these school board seats, which are now occupied by people who don’t know your children and obviously care less about what they are or are not learning.” Val Harris, an accomplished black woman who has devoted her professional life to helping underpriveledged children, took up this call. Jack Paladori and John Young, two white guys, have been impugning her character. When I called this out, he censored me.
