Car or Cops which comes first

Personally I am not for more federal bailout of the auto industry via Cash for Clunkers. This program is limited and short-term. This program will not boost auto production nor will it reopen the GM plan on Boxwood Road.

The U.S. House of Representative passed legislation that will add two billion dollars to Cash for Clunkers and the U.S. Senate has the ball. I hope the senate rejects any legislation that will allow two more billion dollars be pissed out the Oval Office window.

I much rather see two billion dollars turned to blue as in police officers. Joe Biden kicked some bucks Delaware’s way to add more police officers through the various police agencies.

Those worst thing we can do is allow during a major recession is standby and let police officers be laid off and the delay in increasing the police force. As we can see crime particularly robbery is on the increase in Delaware.

Safety must be number one priority with no compromise. I assure you crime will increase in Delaware forcing many home owners to arm themselves. I respect those who fight for the rights to bear arms and God bless them. Personally, I rather not keep a gun by my bed every night. However, as our police forces are being reduced and not allow to increase to meet the demand and I may be force to arm myself. I own one gun, a Remington 66 Apache which has never been fired and is in mint condition. Sure if someone broken into my house I could point it at them unloaded. However, if they were to pull out a loaded gun what defense would I have. I RATHER NOT PUT MYSELF IN THAT POSITION. I rather have police patrolling the streets and in a quick response time.

I rather have Cash for Cops then Cash for Clunkers. Besides, what the hell is Obama doing enticing American to go into debt at a time he can’t close the trade agreement imbalances with countries like Communist China. Whatever happened to Obama’s rants about penalizing American companies reaping bill profits overseas?

America is melting down and the last thing we need to do is giving up our home town security. When you are a victim of crime don’t cry out “why me God”. Ask Obama what the hell he was thinking.

We’ve done enough bailing out of Wall Street and auto makers and now it’s time protect Main Street.

FYI, Cash for Clunkers should be restricted to purchasing cars with 4 cylinders.
