I’ve Been Greeked

I just returned from the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church’s Wilmington Greek Festival. This was my first attendance and won’t be my last.

Dinner was , Lamb, Orzo, Dolmades, Greek Salad, and Rice pudding. Also, I couldn’t resist the Calamari. I’ve eaten Calamari in about 20 different restaurants from the Otter Banks, Delaware and Maryland Beaches to Wilmington, and I still rate Walter’s Steakhouse 1st place and now Greek Festival’s 2nd place.

Tomorrrow is the last day for the Wilmington Greek Festival.

Brought some Greek Pastries home for later.

HB 117 back on the radar!

The fools in Dover are at it again trying to push HB 117 on the agenda.

Kilroy’s legislation request

(This was sent to a key legislator for consideration.)
New legislation for you to consider:

Legislation associated with Title 14 requires financial impact notation.

Legislation needs to specify responsible financing parties to implement legislation. If 100% federal, state or local funding the legislation must specify. However, if shared cost the % amounts for given parties be specified.

Reason: To better communicate to the public the allocation and financial responsibility of given Title 14 legislation. Also, this legislation will support better financial transparency of public school funding.

Personal note, I think this legislation will assist legislators in giving better thought to education legislation they desire to introduce. Ideas are wonderful however the cost associated with ideas can be prohibited and have negative impact on responsible parties that bears the financial obligation.

Sincerely

John Allison
